Knitting for a Difference is a group of knitters and crocheters who make hats for anyone who is in need, such as; cancer patients, children in hospitals like St Jude’s or Mott’s Children’s Hospital, needy people who are found through Catholic Charities, The Salvation Army, Interfaith Shelter, and St.Vincent De Paul. There is never a charge to receive these hats. Yarn is supplied to those who work on the hats by parishioners in the parish and the yarn is available to pick up at the parish. Hats are turned in at the parish then sorted and distributed to different organizations. People who work on hats work at their own pace. The church distributes over a 1000 hats per year. The group is always seeking people to make hats because the need is great. If you wish to be a part of this ministry contact Joyce Rochow at (517) 563-2861
