Parent Involvement:

We believe at St. Catherine’s that our parents involvement with preparing their child for reception of the Sacraments is a vital key to a successful program.  Parents need to be living out their faith in their homes with their children – it is in the home where the best teaching moments occur.   We offer  two adult formation classes for parents whose children are receiving the Sacraments of Penance and and First Holy Eucharist.

Details and requirements will be given at the Parent meeting.

Penance:

Children spend the first half of the year learning about the Sacrament of Penance.  We use Blessed – A First Reconciliation program by Dynamic Catholic.

Students received the Sacrament of Penance the months of either January/February.

First Holy Eucharist:

Once children have received the Sacrament of Penance, preparation of First Holy Eucharist begins.  We use Blessed – A First Eucharist program by Dynamic Catholic.

Students receive the Sacrament of Eucharist the month of May.

Praise for Blessed:

There’s never been anything like Blessed in the Catholic world for children. World-class animation. Workbooks that are works of art. Catechist-friendly leader guides. And incredible content that meets children where they are and leads them. Blessed isn’t just different, it’s groundbreaking.” –  Dynamic Catholic
